A Blessed 2020 to You!
A blessed New Year to you all, as I share just a few opportunities coming up from us. Some of you may have received this from my personal mailing list. Apologies if you get this twice.
Firstly, a number of you have asked how we fared in the recent fires. Our town of Mount Torrens was surrounded by fire. Unlike many in our area, our home and township were spared. We’re
grateful and certainly pray for others. We live in a uniquely rich country with our CFS, all emergency services, volunteers, health-system, and others who keep things going. Along with you, and
regardless of political leanings, we lift up all our leaders at this time.
One reason for writing is to give advance notice of a conference I’m hosting with Michael Dutschke at Para Vista Lutheran Church (388 Montague Road) on Friday evening Feb 28th and Saturday 29th. It is simply entitled, “The Spirited Conference”. Scroll down the homepage at www.incrediblyloved.com for more details.
Come by yourself, with a significant other, as a small group or ministry team, or with as many as you can from your faith community. Receiving together can release a greater impact when you get home. Booking is available at www.trybooking.com/BHDQH.
Only Saturday is mentioned as Friday night is a free public rally. See the homepage of my website for Saturday costs.
If you don’t live in South Australia, please don’t hesitate to contact me about coming to where you are.
Julie and I are increasingly convicted that unless people know and live out of their identity, nothing changes. It doesn’t matter what shaped expression of Kingdom-life they participate in, or how many house churches they’ve planted, or how many people they mentor, or what language they use, or what songs they sing, or even if they don’t sing at all … if it’s not grounded in the magnificence of Father’s love for them, then it’s bound to go belly up sooner or later. Or they get jaded and burn out. Or they become disillusioned and opt out. Or they start comparing, grow judgemental, and blurt out.
The only thing that lasts is knowing you are a son, a daughter, that in heaven you’re called beloved, that you have a personal Papa-God as the ruler of the universe, and that he is completely besotted with you. Everything starts there, and flows out of that truth.
That’s why I write. Holy Spirit started it a few years ago with ‘Suddenly’. Then followed ‘Favoured’, and now ‘Spirited’. I don’t write a thing without surrendering it all to Father first, and I only proceed when I get a clear yes from him. I write so that the message on my heart can get out to everyone. I promote what I write so that more and more can get into the heart of what Father has scribed through me. I’m so grateful for how ‘Spirited’ turned out, because I know the struggle that was against it being written. It’s proving a real blessing. I’m currently writing about the freedom journey: out of whatever it is that enslaves us, and into the land of freedom, but all via the wilderness.
You can check out any of my books at www.incrediblyloved.com. You’ll even find all of ‘Favoured’ there on the blog for free. Start here!
If you’re on Facebook and want to stay connected that way, you can ‘like’ the Incredibly Loved page.
Finally, I greet and bless you with this. It really doesn’t get much simpler.
And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.” (1 Cor 13:13).
With you, we are, incredibly loved!
